Wednesday, September 11th is our Nation's National Day of Service and Remembrance - where American's pause to reflect on the devastating September 11th terrorist attacks against our great nation. We commemorate those we lost and give thanks to the brave first responders that put their lives on the line to help our people. So, this 9/11, take a moment of silence at 8:46AM (the time the first plane hit the World Trade Center's North Tower).

We all know Hornets and Wasps became highly aggressive in the fall. Do you know why? In the summer, food is bountiful. In the fall, as the days get shorter and the food becomes scarcer, they basically become hangry - - and I think we can all relate to that every now and then.

Founded by the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association (JPMA) in 1983, Baby Safety Month (BSM) occurs every September and offers a great chance for parents and retailers to brush up on baby-proof safety standards and tips. Every year, JPMA offers toolkits to manufacturers, retailers, doctors, and parents to help educate them on childhood safety. Babies aren’t the only ones going through a huge learning curve in life – the rest of us often need to brush up on our skills in order to ensure no accidents occur.

In the past few years, suicide awareness is becoming common talk. Odds are, your child knows someone from school, through friends, or the news who recently chose to take their own lives. Talk to them about it. Let them know there is help and there is always someone to talk to that loves them.
There are roughly 40,000 suicides a year, meaning someone dies every 14 minutes.
Do you know the signs of someone who might be depressed? Do you have dark thoughts? Maybe you know someone who has spoken of suicide or tried suicide? Talk. There is help, get help today!

Family Watchdog is now highlighting four random cases from National Center for Missing and Exploited Children so we can bring the awareness of our children missing in the United States. We highly encourage you to visit their website and search in your area to see what children are missing and what you can do to help. Do not approach missing children unless the child is in danger, always call 911 or 1-800-THE-LOST (1-800-843-5678)
Each month we will randomly choose four missing children's cases from the NCMEC website. You can submit a missing children's case to us possibly highlight in one of our newsletters by emailing us.
