Seven out of every 10 adults in the U.S. have a grill or smoker, which translates to a lot of tasty meals. But it also means there’s an increased risk of home fires.
In 2017-2021, U.S. fire departments responded to an average of 11,421 home fires involving grills, hibachis, or barbecues per year.

Monday, September 11th is our Nation's National Day of Service and Remembrance - where American's pause to reflect on the devastating September 11th terrorist attacks against our great nation. We commemorate those we lost and give thanks to the brave first responders that put their lives on the line to help our people. So, this 9/11, take a moment of silence at 8:46AM (the time the first plane hit the World Trade Center's North Tower).

That comes on Sept. 10. Send good thoughts to our friends being affected by this storm and see what you can do in your own community to help our neighbors after the storm hits.

We all know Hornets and Wasps became highly aggressive in the fall. Do you know why? In the summer, food is bountiful. In the fall, as the days get shorter and the food becomes scarcer, they basically become hangry - - and I think we can all relate to that every now and then.

Fall is here—it's the perfect season to complete household chores to get your home all clean and cozy for the upcoming winter and holiday season when guests are over. Since the weather is just beginning to get chilly, it's ideal to start with the outdoor tasks and then move indoors as the weather becomes colder.

With every weather change, there's a whole new sickness going around in schools and workplaces. Make sure you stay ahead of it and talk to your doctor about what you can do to keep yourself healthy and sickness free this season!

Family Watchdog wants to do something new and helpful with our newsletter. We want to highlight four random cases from National Center for Missing and Exploited Children so we can bring the awareness of our children missing in the United States. We highly encourage you to visit their website and search in your area to see what children are missing and what you can do to help. Do not approach missing children unless the child is in danger, always call 911 or 1-800-THE-LOST (1-800-843-5678)
Each month we will randomly choose four missing children's cases from the NCMEC website. You can submit a missing children's case to us possibly highlight in one of our newsletters by emailing us.
