Volvo Trucks North America (Volvo) is recalling certain model year 2013 VHD, VNL, and VNM trucks, equipped with model number 90262 or 90541 Hayes Lemmerz steel wheels. Due to an inadequate weld between the wheel disc and rim, the disc can separate from the rim. Consequence:

Separation of the rim and tire from the vehicle can result in a loss of control and a vehicle crash. Remedy:

Volvo will notify owners, and dealers will replace the wheels on affected vehicles, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin on, or before, January 11, 2013. Owners may contact Volvo at 1-336-393-2000 for more information.
