FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - August 14, 2012 - Hummingbird Wholesale of Eugene, OR is alerting consumers who purchased Organic Bulk Pinenuts from Natural Food Retail stores between 3/22/2012 and 8/16/2012 that these bulk pinenuts may contain undeclared peanuts.

People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts may be at risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

The Organic Pinenuts were distributed 27.5 pound and 5 pound plastic bags in wholesale packaging to retail stores in WA and OR for sale through bulk bins.

No illnesses have been reported to date.

The Organic Pinenuts were found to have been contaminated by peanuts through visual inspection.

Consumers concerned about peanut allergenic reactions who have purchased Organic Pinenuts distributed by Hummingbird Wholesale between 3/22/2012 and 8/16/2012 are encouraged to return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.
